The album that I chose was Alicia Keys' new album called "As I Am" and it got released on November 13, 2007 & the producers were ALICIA KEYS, KERRY "KRUCIAL"BROTHERS, MARK BATSON, LINDA PERRY, and JACK SPLASH.
I really liked this album especially the two songs called "no one" & "you will never see me again" I think they stood out the most in the album just from the energy of her voice in the song and the lyrics to both of the songs are really powerfull & she alwasy finds a way to send out a message without making it look too cheesy. But I think she could have had a different variety of music because some of the songs sound the same, but other than that she is so talented & her songs are always a hit. & she's like my Idol so i'm glad I got to talk about her new album :]

Post fro January 14th
Here are my top three songs.
Chuck Berry, “Roll Over Beethoven” (1956): i liked this song because I don't usually listen to this type of music but I really like the melody of it & it's a really fun song, I think that a lot of people wether or not they liked this genre of music because it send off different posotive messages.
Aretha Franklin, “Respect” (1967): This song was a big hit because they still play it today even though it's an old song. It's also a posotive song and I bet a lot of women liked this song too because in tha past men where given more respect than women. But in this song she's saying how she wants respect & it sounds like she wasn't only talking about herself but other women all over.
Jackson Five, “I Want You Back” (1969): Everytime I hear this song it makes me smile becuase its just a really upbeat song. The style of the song is a lot different from the songs now a days because their voices are really high pitch and you don't hear a lor of male singers singing like that. I actually like how it sounds even though I don't hear it a lot. For me the higher pitch a male can go the better he can sing.
